A week-long trek around Monte Rosa without climbing difficulties, to discover the Alpine paths of the Italian and Swiss valleys. Along the mule tracks and paths that have seen the Walser populations coming from neighboring Switzerland. Suitable for those who want to spend a pleasant week to discover the history, landscapes and people of the Monte Rosa.
The proposal is divided into daily stages from 5 to 8 hours, depending on the day, with ascents/descents of at least 1000m per stage. The overnight stays are guaranteed by shelters and hotels as appropriate, with half board. Where the lifts are present, they will be used to shorten the stages. No special requirements are required, even if good physical training is essential.
First day
Cervinia (2005m) – Résy (2086m).
Departure from Cervinia uphill with the lifts up to Cime Bianche Laghi. Ascent to the Colle Superiore of the White Peaks descending into the Champoluc Valley. Dinner and overnight at the Ferraro refuge.

Résy (2086m) – Rifugio Città di Vigevano (2863m).
Departure from Résy ascent to the Colle di Bettaforca descent into the Gressoney Valley. Ascent on foot or with the lifts at Rifugio Città di Vigevano. Dinner and overnight.

Downhill difference: 900 m.

Departure from Saas-Fee to Zermatt by public transport. With the lifts at the Trockener Steg station, follow the Teodulo glacier to the homonymous col and descent to Cervinia.

Difficulty: easy hiker on the glacier.
