Prices

The listed prices refer only to the cost of hiring the Guide and do not include, except if it is mentioned in the package, expenses such as food and accommodation in mountain huts, bars, hotels, cable car and ski-lifts charges, travel costs… The Guide’s additional expenses ( food and accommodation in mountain huts, bars, hotels, cable car and ski-lifts charges, travel costs…) must also be covered by the participants and will be shared equally among them.

For some activities the price includes the use of equipment provided by the organizers for the benefit of the participants ( harness helmet, ice ax, crampons, avalanche transceivers, etc…). You may contact us for further details. You can also rent the equipment at the Guides’ Office, if it is not included in the package.

Booking

A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the activity must be paid upon booking, after agreements with the secretary (except if there is a different agreement between the organizer and the client).

If the booking is made within 3 days prior to the beginning of the activity, the full payment of the activity is required.

• With Credit Card, by giving the details to the secretary ( credit card number, expiration date, and security code).

• Directly at the Cervino Mountain Guides’Office.

Cancellations

• 5 % of the deposit ( 2,5 % of the total amount) will be charged if the client cancels within 20 days prior to the beginning of the activity.
• 50% of the deposit ( 25 % of the total amount) will be charged if the client cancels from 20 to 10 days prior to the beginning of the activity.
• 100% of the deposit (50% of the total amount) will be charged if the client cancels from 10 to 3 days prior to the beginning of the activity.
• The client must pay the total price of the activity if cancellation is done within 3 days prior to the beginning of the activity.

If the organizer cancels a booked activity, the client is entitled to :

• book the same activity at a later date;
• book another activity with the same price;
• book an activity with a lower price ( with a refund of the difference between the 2 prices);
• cancel the booking at no additional cost, with full refund of any paid deposit.

Variations to the program scheduled

The Guide who is responsible for the activity can modify or cancel the scheduled program, for justifiable reasons. Such decisions are entirely subject to the discretion of the Guide, for various reasons ( bad weather conditions, bad conditions of the mountain, level of fitness of the members of the group, safety reasons, etc…). The Guide may suggest in this case some alternative solutions. He will inform the participants of any additional costs. The participants are free to accept or refuse these suggestions. If there is a difference between the agreed services and those provided, the organizer will refund the participant within the limits of the difference between the two prices.

Insurance

Participants undertaking the activities described on this website will be covered by the Guide’s own third-party liability insurance. This insurance covers the participants against any injury or damage that can be attributed to negligence from part of the guide. The fees for research and /or rescue will be covered. Yet, it is highly recommended that the participants purchase their own personal insurance ( especially for air transportation and medical expenses).

Rental equipment

In case of damage of the rented equipment, not due to normal use but to negligence or misuse, the participant will be responsible for repair or replacement. An unintentional activation of our ABS backpacks will be charged to the participant. The Società Guide del Cervino accepts no responsibility for accidents caused by the use of our rental equipment.

Image rights

Pictures taken by The Società Guide del Cervino during the activities can be used for promotional purposes. If the participants do not wish to appear on the pictures or videos, they must say it in advance to the Guides’Office or the Guide himself before the beginning of the activity.
